Creative Commons is currenlty running an online questionnaire about Noncommercial use. The blog post explaining the survey can be found here, and the actual survey can be found here.

This is an important survey for many reasons. Noncommercial clauses allow users to use, reproduce and modify works as long as they do so without seeking profit. However, they are a bone of contention in open licensing in general as they do not meet the definition of Freedom espoused by many in the open rights arena. Nonetheless, noncommercial licences are still one of the most popular elements in Creative Commons licenses.

The interim findings from a first round of questions can be found here.
